Unlike China Eastern or Air China, one of the good things about travelling with Hainan Airlines – apart from being a 5-star Skytrax airline – is that it allows you to have a stopover of one or more days in China at no additional cost. The downside is that, due to the schedules of their flights from Osaka, flying with Hainan Airlines requires relatively long layovers in Chongqing or Beijing – or even an overnight stay in Haikou.

Conclusion
Although purchasing a round-trip flight is usually cheaper than buying a one-way flight, we can see that sometimes it is possible to find a one-way ticket at a reasonable price. This is great, if you have the flexibility to plan your trip. Or if you are looking for a return ticket to complement your award flight. Keep in mind that upon arriving in some countries, you may be denied entry without a return or onward ticket.
